ABOUT ZURICH & SWITZERLAND

Situated in the heart of Europe, Switzerland offers numerous attractions: it is gifted with an astonishing landscape with the snow capped Alps ranging from East to West, hundreds of lakes and lush, green meadows. Switzerland also offers a rich history, with the Helvetic Confederation being founded in the 13th century, which is visible still today in the numerous historic buildings in the wonderful villages and cities.

The city of Zurich lies on the northern shores of Lake Zurich. It is the business, though not the political, capital of Switzerland. Its multicultural flair and the variety of leisure activities attract guests from all over the world to this “region of short routes”. With a magnificent view of the Alps on the horizon, Zurich offers a unique mixture of attractions – over 50 museums and more than 100 art galleries, international fashion labels and Zurich designs, and the most flamboyant and lively nightlife in Switzerland. Recreational activities range from a visit to the riverside and lakeside bathing areas in the very heart of the city, to a spectacular hike on the “Uetliberg” Mountain.

The ICN 8th Annual Conference will take place in the “Kongresshaus” Zurich. It is situated right on the lake promenade and is just minutes away from the city centre with its main shopping streets and sights.
